No penalty for the bench

The municipality must repay "Verona Open City"

Il Comitato Verona Città Aperta aveva quindi organizzato delle “sediolate” per protestare contro tale stupido atto repressivo che andava a danneggiare non sole disadvantaged people that the benches were the only place to eat, but deprived all citizens the right to sit in a public place. The town was then fined
Valpiana Mao, held responsible for the initiative, "the occupation of the road" and for not paying the fees, "occupation of public land." Two fine of € 165.00 and € 148.00 for 1.17 square meters occupied by two chairs.

result is a standoff between the City and Valpiana: appeal to the mayor, appeal to the Municipal Police, the Prefecture Appeal, appeal to the President of the Republic.
Finally the justice of the peace hearing to settle the matter, and today issued a sentence of full acceptance of our thesis.

Therefore, our non-violent action was lawful. Place a bench and chairs available to all, in a public garden left unprotected by the city, what is "good and right." We affirmed the right of everyone (but everyone, without exception) to sit in the public space.
We now expect that the city putting them back benches without arm the odious part. The fine was canceled, and the party condemned "the reimbursement in favor of plaintiff victory, only costs paid as a unified contribution amounted to € 38.00.

Valpiana beats Tosi 1 to 0.
